Brooke's Dairy Co Ice CreamsWelsh Gold at Welsh Assembly

"Welsh Gold" the luxurious farm-made ice cream from Chepstow dairy farmer Robert Brooke and his wife Irene stole the show at a prestigious dinner served to the Welsh Assembly's First Minister plus ambassador's from around the world.

There was special praise from MP David T C Davies, Member for Monmouth, National Assembly for Wales, who said: "...great strides have been made in developing the specialist food industry... Brooks Dairies makes what I think is the best ice cream I have ever tasted—by the way, it did not sponsor my campaign in any way!"

At the Brooke's Panta Farm, near Devauden, Welsh Gold is made from fresh milk and double cream from a pedigree herd of 120 cows. It has real honey flavouring and fine honeycombe pieces added.

By Royal Approval..
"One taste is never enough," said HRH Prince Charles when he met Robert, of Brooke's Dairy Co Ice Creams, at an Ecostyle shop opening at nearby Brockweir. The Prince sampled some of the delicious "Welsh Gold".

There are 14 flavours of Brooke's ice-cream, using only natural ingredients. Kenyan coffee is freshly brewed for one of the more popular flavours and freshly squeezed orange juice is combined with the finest Cointreau to create another exquisite ice cream . In addition Brooke's reputation for fine food has created a demand for sorbet that they now make in six flavours, using fresh fruit.

" Only pure ice cream is our policy. No preservatives or colouring is added. Good and natural ingredients go into the recipe," says Robert "This is definitely the best from Wales."
